As designações dos redutores Masson evoluíram com sua história.

A última evolução ocorreu na passagem da ZF para a Masson Marine. A única mudança na denominação foi a alteração das duas letras iniciais (que passaram de ZF para MM) Quanto aos redutores, suas características evoluíram.

De 200 a 2006, a Masson Marine fez parte do Grupo ZF

Durante esse período, os aparelhos desta rubrica foram fabricados e comercializados.

Hoje, a maioria deles continua a ser fabricada e seus desempenhos evoluíram.

Quanto à denominação, foi mudada apenas a sigla ZF, substituída por MM

As denominações dos redutores ZF

Início da designação:

ZF: marca da empresa
W: "Workboat" ,nossos redutores são projetados para aplicações profissionais e contínuas:
Número: identifica o modelo. Quanto mais alto o número, maior a transmissão de potência pelo modelo.

Fim da designação:

Nada: trata-se de um redutor com decalagem vertical (entrada acima da saída).
NR: "Non Reversing", o aparelho é uma embreagem .
CEW: "Counter Engine Wise", o sentido de rotação da saída é inverso ao sentido de rotação da entrada.
EW: "Engine Wise", o sentido de rotação da saída é o mesmo que o da entrada.
C: "Coaxial", A entrada e a saída estão alinhadas.
DS: "Dual Speed", o redutor possui duas relações de redução.

Exemplo:

ZF W20000 NR CEW: É uma embreagem modelo 20000 cujo sentido de rotação de saída é inverso ao sentido de rotação da entrada.
