A dredger is a vessel that is used to excavate and remove material from the bottom of water.

A scoop attached to the end of a rope or pole by which an operator can draw sediments up from the bottom of a pond is a dredger.

There are 2 types of dredger :

  • Mechanical dredger
  • Hydraulic dredger
