Lohmann Stolterfoht's Gearboxes

Lohmann Stolterfoht transmissions layout

The GW series among LS transmissions is comprised of 8 different layout versions. Their differences mainly reside in their shape. Please find a description of the various designs below.

GWC gearbox

GWC series

GWC gearboxes are composed of an input shaft, a lay shaft, output shaft, and a reverse gear train.

Input and output shafts are coaxial.

In "ahead", the input and output shafts rotate in the same direction.

GWD gearbox

GWD series

The GWD transmissions have an input shaft, an output shaft, and a reverse gear train.

The input shaft and output shaft are vertically offset.

In the "ahead" drive mode, input and output shafts rotate in opposite directions.

GWS gearbox

GWS series

Like the GWD models, the GWS gears are composed of an input shaft, an output shaft, and a reverse gear train.

Input shaft and output shaft are vertically offset.

In the "ahead" drive mode, the input shaft and output shaft rotate in opposite directions.

GWH gearbox

GWH series

The GWH transmissions are comprised of an input shaft, a lay shaft, an output shaft and a reverse gear train.

Input shaft and output shaft are horizontally offset.

In the "ahead" drive, the input shaft and the output shaft rotate in opposite directions.

GWL gearbox

GWL series

Clutch reduction gears GWL comprise an input shaft, an output shaft, and a lay shaft. There is no reverse gear.

Input shaft and output shaft are coaxial.

In the "ahead" drive mode, the input shaft and output shaft rotate in the same direction.

GWK gearbox

GWK series

The GWK clutch reduction gearboxes are composed of an input shaft and an output shaft (there is no reverse gear).

Input and output shafts are vertically offset.

In the "ahead" drive mode, the input and output shafts rotate in opposite directions.
